Dear Colleagues:
Human Resource Solutions, located in Ogden, Utah, has been helping clients solve problems for 20 years. This Web site outlines a number of human resource consulting services which we provide. Beyond the specific consulting services or training programs described in the site, we would like you to understand that our primary role is helping you solve people problems in your organization. There are many symptoms of people problems, some of which are:
| ● Employee Turnover/Absenteeism |
● Employee Morale Problems |
| ● Poor Productivity |
● Ineffective Change Management |
| ● Hiring the Wrong People |
● Unclear Goals and Direction |
| ● High Stress Levels |
● Out of Touch With Your People |
| ● Poor Customer Service |
● Losing Your Best Employees |
● Promoting People into Management Who Can't Manage
| I am the principal consultant at Human Resource Solutions and I am a Ph.D. Organizational Psychologist. Since there is often considerable confusion about what an Organizational Psychologist does, I would like to offer some clarification. When most people hear the word "psychologist", they think of Clinical Psychologists. Those are the people who do counseling and therapy and deal with individuals as clients. Organizational Psychologists do not do counseling or therapy or "treat" individuals in any context. Essentially, we do for whole organizations what a clinical psychologist might do for individuals. That is, we help organizations with people problems to diagnose the source of their problems and then develop and implement solutions. Clinical Psychologists have been educated and trained in a health-care and mental-health environment. Organizational Psychologists have been educated and trained in a business environment. Our employees and colleagues who assist on consulting projects are also primarily business people. We understand your problems and we speak your language.
If you are interested in discussing any people problems you are facing, and their possible solutions, we would be glad to meet with you at your convenience. Please call us at the numbers above, or contact us by e-mail. There is, of course, no charge for an initial consultation.
Sincerely, Doug Deis, Ph.D. Organizational Psychologist
